Hey all! I’m back from my vacation back home, and it feels really good to be back. It was great being back home in Maine, as I got to spend some quality time with family and friends, enjoyed the greatest local beer in the country (hands down): Shipyard, Gritty’s, and Allagash. Most importantly though, I got to enjoy the greatest part about coming back to the homeland: MAINE LOBSTAH!
Anyway, I’m back in Austin, and I’m pumped to be back home, because I’ve got some big plans in the making for this upcoming fall, especially for my AG Fitcamp folks. For those of you who are new to the site, and don’t know about AG Fitcamp, I’ll give you the skinny:
– It’s an 8 week program (if you sign up, you’re committed for the entire 8 weeks!) that is designed to increase individuals functional movement capacity. This includes (but is not limted to) components of strength, power, agility, metabolic conditioning, muscle flexibility, joint mobility, and fat loss, all wrapped up into one hour of pure
– Sessions begin with a progressive multi-planar dynamic warm up, bringing blood flow to working joints/tissues, followed by circuit training-style resistance and conditioning training utilizing various exercise tools ranging from Blast Straps, to Battle Ropes, to Powerblocks, to Sandbags, to Agility Ladders, and much more.
– In between each round of circuit training, we typically do some sort of additional conditioning… shuffle work, sprints, ground function, partner training, pick a body part group and blast it, etc.
– After 2 more rounds of circuit training/conditioning, we’ll do an end of the session burnout, and then finish up with a cool down static stretch.
Although this promo doesn’t do AG Fitcamp justice (filmed by yours truly using a Flip Camera), as Fitcamp has grown since a year and a half ago when this was filmed, exercise selection has changed enormously, and general bad-assery scale has sky-rocketed, here is an idea of what you’ll get:
